New Team Ladder Maps! Season 2 2018

New Season is approaching! And with it, new maps! One for each, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4.

Blizzard still hasnt released information on which maps will be cycled out of the team games map pool, in order to them to add the new set of team maps in. But as it has been in the past, Blizzard tends to cycle the oldest map in the pool.

Redstorm

Redstorm is a 2v2 map, based on the BroodWar classic BlueStorm, Redstorm, just like its soulmate has two chokepoints in the Natural, but as the screenshots below show, only small units can path through the smallest of the entrances, the center of the map is designed to allow for large scale engagements, and divided map situations.

Stranded Isles

Stranded Isles is the new 3v3 map, this one showcases separated spawning points for players, two players will spawn in the 5/11 plateaus, and 1 will spawn at the 3/9.
The map is highly choked up, giving advantages to air armies, and highly positional ones with heavy usage of Tanks, Disruptors, or Lurkers. Expect a rather aggressive early game with the separated bases tho, and be specially ready to protect your lone ally, given that his main/natural base plateau has two entrances to it!

Last Impact

Last Impact is a big 4v4 mirrored symmetry map, designed for limited aggression early game, with a focus on fighting in the middle of the map, with some rather strong drop/air play given the mirrored symmetry and very open airspace between the teams.

All of the maps listed above are playable right now in custom games, and will be added to ladder on May 15th!
