Midnight Lagoon

Midnight Lagoon v0.00.02 70°

BroodWar knew of many great maps, Fighting Spirit, Python, Match Point, HearthBreak Ridge and so many others absolute classics, yet we apparently have forgotten other classics like Double Jeopardy, Crystalis, Ice Floes & Full Circle, because of this I have decided to port some of these BroodWar Classics, and it is with a heavy heart for my Zerg brethren that I release the port of Midnight Lagoon!  ( 100% imbalanced, I guaranteed)

Midnight Lagoon is a 2 Player map created by Blizzard and not intended for ladder play (take a guess as to why), yet the map was quite liked by the community, specially those that just wanted to relax and have some fun inviting and surprising buddies that didn’t even knew the map existed!

Regarding the strategic depth of the map, this is one of these cases when I simply have no idea how this thing will develop, TvT is an absolute mess (a fun and micro intensive one at least!), PvT does not seem to be a viable Match Up mostly because of the rough early game for Toss, and TvZ is only mildly better because Queens with transfuse can be very strong in limited resource scenarios.

The aesthetic theme of Midnight Lagoon is the same the map had in BW, but with the small change that now the map is based on a basin in the middle of one of many Shakuras sandy deserts instead of it being in a random generic non-distinctive area.
